Personality
Fletch is the type of guy you want as a friend, and who you fear as an enemy. Kind and caring to those he deems worthy of his respect, but ruthless and unforgiving with those who cross him. A passionate type, Fletch stands by his beliefs and does whatever it takes to protect the few people he holds close to him. To an extent. Naturally submissive, Fletch 'knows his place', and tends to back down when it comes to people he places or knows to be higher than himself. However, his furious nature remains, buried deep inside of him, and it'll grow until he just can't hold it back anymore. Because of this, Fletch has a rather unpredictable temper, and is known to snap out of no where sometimes. Alone, though, Fletch is a much different person, even from how he is with friends. With no one around, Fletch is left only to his thoughts, and can find himself sinking into a hole he'd rather stay out of.

History
Brandyn Fletcher was the first born son of two, his younger brother, Ferrell being born two years later, six months before their father was killed. Their mother suffered a severe drug addiction and had failed to pay off her providers one too many times, resulting in the man being abducted as a warning, before eventually being killed when she couldn't get them the money. Through the first years of their lives, the boys were faced with neglect, often going without food. At the age of five, Fletch's mom would send him out with his three year old brother to ask for money on the streets from strangers. They ate whatever food they could find─or take if it was needed─and by age seven, Fletch had taught himself and his brother how to pick-pocket, pick locks, and shoplift without being caught. Their mother never overcame her addiction, and only fell deeper and deeper into debt. Desperate, Fletch's mother sold him and his brother to a rather shady man, promising to come back for them when she could.
The boys were taken away by the man and placed in a black market auction where they ended up being sold to a very rich woman. Fletch was made to cook and clean, among other tasks, while his brother was treated as a doll. The woman would dress Ferrell up in various outfits, and keep him with her, taking him to social events and showing him off like some prize. Occasionally the woman would dress Fletch up as well, but mostly it was just Ferrell, with Fletch left doing chores. In the time that they were with the woman, Fletch and Ferrell quickly learned that if they were good, and did as they were told, they would be treated well, and even rewarded. However, if they were bad, and disobeyed or made some kind of mistake, they knew there would be some kind of punishment in store.
When Fletch was just turning twelve, the woman was hosting a party. Ferrell was kept by the woman's side all night, and Fletch was left running around doing the cooking and bringing out drinks for the guests. Late into the night, the woman had called Fletch over, and told him he was done working for the night and to go clean up and change into something nice. He did as told, and when he came back, a younger man was standing next to the woman. The woman told Fletch he would be leaving with the man, as he'd offered a very big sum of money for him, and she'd accepted. Fletch gave no argument, only nodding, until he realized that Ferrell was not coming with him. He begged and pleaded. Either for Ferrell to come with, or for him to be allowed to stay, but all it brought him was a severe beating by the woman, and another later by the man after they left the woman's house.
Fletch soon learned that the man ran a sort of secret business, turning children into skilled soldiers and auctioning them off to other countries. However, the man had no intention of selling Fletch, rather, wanting to keep him for himself as his own personal assassin. Fletch was branded with the man's own personal mark, and then faced with four years of torturous training, wherein he was pushed to his limit and beyond, often starved and denied sleep. At the age of sixteen, Fletch had reached a high enough level to finally defeat the man, and made his escape.
With his new, apparent freedom, the first place Fletch went was back to the woman's house, planning to take Ferrell and run. However, when he reached the house he'd spent so long in, he found it was empty, the woman, and Ferrell, gone. Ferrell refused to give up, though, and began asking all around the criminal underground, looking for any kind of information he could find on where his brother was. All his questioning brought him a lot of attention, and not all of it was good. With a bounty on his head, Fletch was forced to join a gang for protection. He figured, who better than the people he spent the first seven years of his life with? He was accepted quickly, but in being accepted, he inherited his mother's debt, and was forced to work it off through labor and...a certain other service. Learning of his history with the man who'd bought him and the training he'd received, Fletch was made to be the gang's hit-man, tracking down, injuring, and even, of course, killing those who'd crossed the gang.
It wasn't a life he liked, and it kept him from finding his brother, but he did what he needed to do in order to survive, and, in time, he was free. No more debt, no more killing, just another member. He gained respect, and a title, and, most importantly...he gave up on finding his brother.
